an unusual three-day weekend

before anything, i would like to say “THANKS FOR THE DAY-OFF, MOHAMMAD!!!”

these were the things that happened:

- i went home late on thursday because of my cousin

- i was supposed to be the one who will get inside the taxi before Lordom and Mik but the taxi refused (he said my house was too far) TAXIS ARE SUPPOSED TO DRIVE Manila to any point of Luzon!!!

- anyway, while riding inside the taxi who accepted, i was reading Harry Potter 5 that Lordom lent me

- i slept at 7:30PM and woke up at 8:30 AM. i found out it was a friday so i slept again and woke up at 12:30 in the afternoon to eat brunch

- i continued reading Harry Potter and managed to finish it at 6:30 PM and after eating dinner, i slept again…

- Saturday: internet to the max!!!

- Sunday: back to the cage (DORM)

the most relaxing weekend in second year

i haven’t posted a new post (is that right?) for a long time… know why?

aside from the practices, periodic test days stopped me from doing it.

want to know the results of practicing  almost everyday?  it made us place 6th, (i don’t really know if we placed 5th or 6th… but it doesn’t really matter) but at least we’re not the 7th again (one step closer!)

anyway, the periodic exam was not that bad, scoring just passing (i don’t aim 1.0, i aim for 2.5, unlike others)

with only penrose tiling to cram, i can call this weekend a very great one and this week a hell one unless…

right now, i have a thousand ideas in my mind. not even one is i think that can turn out to be a good one, unless…

hell weeks

i heard last year from second year dormers (now third years) that every week except the first week are hell weeks (this is what pisay calls for weeks with too much requirements i don’t know why but the reason for naming it is obvious) and that second year is the hardest year for pisay students

i just took it as something not so serious and just keeps in my mind that  can do it no matter what

things really change.  i finally realized that that thing i once considered as something not to be seriously taken was so real. being a person that humiliates himself, i find it hard to cope with people  who are too proud (but also i’m one of those… but their pride is much more than mine). i also found it was so hard to pass all the requirements, fond of making fun all the things i do (well almost).

everything i do now is for me to just pass, not to excel. I CAN’T DO EVERYTHING THAT IS EXPECTED FROM ME!!!  i’m just a normal kid. i want to live peacefully (how touching).

however, choosing pisay was not a wrong choice. i’m so happy it became a part of my life

but, what do you expect pisay to be? no wonder

how addicting kingdom of loathing is

i just heard this game called “Kingdom of Loathing” a friend

why not give it a try?

well, that try took me about two, long hours (nice try, isn’t it?)

i finally realized i was addicted after playing it again

last weekend, i saw my angry friend at the mall so i told him i’m sorry and you know what? he forgave me.

Humanities “Week”

Actually, the Humanities Festival this year cannot be called Humanities Week since it was not celebrated week-long so it deserves to be called Humanities Days.

The Humanities Days started with the Foundation Day (please refer to my other post for more notes about it) .

Next stop was the shortened periods, FOR PRACTICES!!!  How I hate those practices with *toooot*.

The Humanities celebration finally started last Thursday (I don’t remember the date… who cares?) with the opening blah, blahs and the Laro ng Lahi (too corny) just to end the day with lining up in the very (VERY) long line for registration to the ACLE (Alternative Classroom Learning Experience) tomorrow (too lucky to pick my chosen ones).

ACLE day I watched ‘Akeelah and the Bee’ and ‘Magnifico’ (don’t ask me the storyline…i’ll just waste time).

Humanities Days ended today with the Filipino Presentations/Contest. Our presentation  was Pandanggo sa Ilaw (don’t ask for more info… we got only 83 percent, ranking 8th or 7th). But at least…

swimming…

i like swimming but i think swimming doesn’t like me

HERE’S THE STORY:

i became very tired just after the four-lap flatter kick WARM-UP

when we did the actual swimming, my goggles started to suck water (YEHEY!!!)

at the sight of the first blue line, i kept in my mind that my goal in this meeting is to reach the third blue line in just one dive

i actually reached the  third line in just one dive only after the 12th lap

during the first laps, i was one of those who finished last

but after the 9th lap, i just finished with the others

i’m very tired until now

one proof of being a not-so-physical person

don’t mind

i sat down in front of the computer and tried to construct something from the words coming out of my mind. these were the results:

Foundation Day 101

Director’s Listers were recognized today (today was the 43rd foundation day day of pshs… big deal)

I was one of them (shut up I know I don’t deserve it!!!)

Because today was the foundation day of Pisay, the day started with a mass

Next was the recognition of Director’s Listers

The Origin of the Very Famous word “SHIT”

Have you wondered where and when did the word “shit” came from?

Some people claim that shit came from the acronym “Ship High In The Transit” but this claim is only a fake etymology.

The real story started when certain types of manure used to be transported (as everything was back then) by ship … well in dry form it weighs a lot less, but once water (at sea) hit it, it not only became heavier, but the process of fermentation began again, and one of the by products is methane.
Another story says that in the 1800’s, cow pie’s were collected on the prairie and boxed and loaded on steam ships to burn instead of wood. Wood was not only hard to find, but heavy to move around and store. When the boxes of cow pie’s were in the sun for days on board the ships, they would smell bad. So when the manure was boxed up, they stamped the outside of the box, S.H.I.T…which means Ship High In Transit. When people came aboard the ship and said,”Oh what is that smell!” They were told it was shit. That is where the saying “It smells like shit!” came from.

The word shit entered modern English language derived from the Old English nouns scite and the Middle Low German schite, both meaning “dung,” and the Old English noun scitte, meaning “diarrhea.” Our most treasured cuss word has been with us a long time, showing up in written works both as a noun and as a verb as far back as the 14th century.

i wore the uniform franco destroyed(nobody noticed it)

geom-nothing happened; just discussed the homework; spent the period reading Chamber of Secrets

ss- KKKwiz eliminations; got 24; highest was 29(jana, as usual)

bio- new style of quiz; reviewed very hard but not enough to pass the quiz(mental block)

english- activity(pass the message); my group lost because of me(sorry guys); new groupings(my new groupmates are riscia, isay, gedrick and vince); got 10 out of 10 in the quiz

break- one of my favorite subjects; ate shawarma

algebra- very hard(thank God i wasn’t called by ma’am orate)

cs- very BORING(as usual); my scratch notebook(containing algebra, chemistry,comsci, physics, tsk, vandalisms, socsci,etc.) became full; i did not fall asleep this time(big deal)

art- just discussed the design proposal

physics- sir came (very) late but because we are good students (nice joke), we didn’t walk out; ended up having a quiz
